Ripples Spring 2008Student Scholarship Application Campbell's Labels

Campbell’s Label for Education is no longer accepting front panel product labels. Instead they are asking for individuals to clip and save UPCs and lids from participating labels from Education Brands. UPCs:           Only place UPCs in either a paper lunch bag or an envelope.  Remember to keep 1 and 5 point UPCs separate.  Write the quantity of UPCs and the point value on the paper lunch bag or envelope.  Note! Do not use plastic bags, tape or staples when preparing your UPC submissions as these materials are not recyclable.  Lids:               Group lids in quantities of no more than 100.  Remember to keep 1 and 5 point lids separate.  The lids should be counted and placed in sealed clear plastic bags or paper lunch bags.  Write total quantity and total point value of lids on outside of plastic bag or paper lunch bag. Finally the labels, lids are ready to be sent to Murrow Indian Children’s Home or Hilda Smith, 566 Wolverine Lane, Dixon, IL. 61021Campbell’s labels have been and continue to be a great way for Murrow to receive resources to help with our growing programs.  We truly appreciate those who are dedicated to help minister in this way.  We look forward to continuing this effort and thank you that join with us. A CHALLENGE TO GREAT RIVERS REGION WOMEN’S MINISTRIES  Did you know?

Approximately 800,000 to 900,000 victims annually are trafficked across international borders worldwide.

The project for the next two years for Great Rivers Region Women’s Ministries is called Break The Chains:Slavery in the 21st Century  We are cooperating with Women’s Ministries groups in the United States and Puerto Rico to raise $250,000 in two years to assist those international ministries missionaries who are working with women and children who have been trafficked.  We are also raising money to assist those who are working here in this country with women who have been trafficked into the United States. We have set as our goal the amount of $15,000 each year for two years.   From time to time we will put stories up here on our website to remind you of the desperate need for prayer.

Should you want to know more, you may secure written material and/or DVD’s that will inform you.   Please contact Ruth Peterson grrwomensministries@comcast.net  OR go to www.abwmbreakthechains.org .  Here you will find  how the money will be used, what the project entails,

Church World Service Kits WE HAVE BEEN NOTIFIED THAT

1.  When doing school kits eliminate the sheets of colored paper.  They have not been “surviving” in good shape in the shipping of the kits.

2.  When preparing health kits, eliminate the toothpaste.  Things that happen here are noted overseas, so our recent toothpaste contamination news has caused this request.

Have you heard about the Worm Project? For just 2 cents a pill, children of Nicaragua can be treated for worms. Contact Ruth for more information about this project with missionaries Laura and David Parajon.

Medicine Bottles for HaitiEye Glasses may be sent to Haiti using the same procedure. Only see-through prescription bottles with labels removed and with no sticky residue should be sent.Mark the box "Empty Medicine Bottles". It makes it easier for Pastor Nzunga to get them through customs. Agape Flights brings all mail and packages to Haiti and to the Nzungas. Send the box to:

Pastor Nzunga
AGAPE FLIGHTS
CAP10266
100 Airport Avenue
Venice FL 34285

If you are sending money to pay for the cost of getting the package to the Haiti, address the envelope this way (write the check to AGAPE FLIGHTS; in the memo line write Nzunga CAP10266):

AGAPE FLIGHTS
Pastor Nzunga
CAP10266
100 Airport Avenue
Venice FL 34285

This will assure the money being credited to the Nzunga's account. As you know, they have to pay AGAPE FLIGHTS for each package by weight and for each letter as well.

Since the price of fuel has increased, the cost of sending parcels to Haiti is much more than it was previously. Please include $5.00 per pound when you bring medicine bottles to conference or bring them to Sharon Wear. If you are sending them, to Apape flights $3.50 per pound is needed.
