 Current & Pastors' Mailing: (5/27/2008) This 8 times per year distribution of material is soon to be transformed. All who now receive it by mail may soon choose to receive the index/cover sheet by e-mail (unless the recipient has no access to email). This cover sheet will be posted on the GRR web site. It will contain links to all documents that would be sent by the United States Postal Service. Just click on one of the documents and you will be led to the document posted on the web. There are several reasons for this change:

Cost savings of the 3 P's: Paper, Printing, Postage

Recipient decides whether to print/not print; color or black and white.

 

Current Thoughts  

  Our Executive Minister, Dwight Stinnett, shares this column on specific subjects challenging churches and our church leaders to pray, reflect, serve and grow. The substance of these articles is cross-referenced and make good starting points for special studies for small groups and Sunday School curriculum.

Mainstream

  Linda Ricks is the editor and principal writer of the GRR News Publication The Mainstream. She has been given the charge of producing a publication that tells the story of mission and ministry of the churches of the Great Rivers Region. Linda writes her stories after interviewing church leaders and pastors of the region. She also edits those stories that she has asked others to write. Sharon Downs distributes The Mainstream as an email attachment to those who have this connection and by mail to those who do not. Churches have reported that they have used the articles as discussion starters in their various small groups.
